PHOENIX, Arizona – Tuesday, multiple suspects were taken into custody after a police chase that traveled across the Valley.

On Wednesday, police released the names of the four people taken into custody.

The driver, 22-year-old Scotty Arnold Hernandez was arrested for two counts of armed robbery, one count of robbery, two counts of the stolen vehicle, one count of burglary, one count of unlawful flight from police and two counts of aggravated assault.

Dosmieke Sinclair, 22, was arrested for a weapons violation. Alexis Samantha Barragan, 23, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear and shoplifting.

A third passenger in the car was interviewed and released pending further investigation, police said.

The chase began when police spotted a blue Audi near 24th Street and Indian School Road Tuesday afternoon just before 2 p.m.

Police said they had been searching for the car since Feb. 26 after it was taken in an armed robbery. The car was also used in a burglary at a business near 10th Street and Camelback Road on March 2.

The driver, Hernandez, fled when officers attempted to stop the car. A police helicopter followed the suspect vehicle around the Valley.

At one point, police said one of the suspects, believed to be Sinclair, jumped out of the vehicle near Dysart Road and Harrison Drive with a shotgun. He was arrested after a short standoff.

Hernandez continued driving until his vehicle started to break down near 107th Avenue and Van Buren Street after hitting a spike strip thrown out the window of a vehicle by an undercover police officer. Hernandez then stole a white truck from a woman stopped at the intersection. A knife was used by police to break the woman’s window and forced her out. Two passengers, including Barragan, were left in the Audi.

The pursuit continued, and police kept their distance. It would end after Hernandez abandoned the stolen truck and attempted to hide inside an apartment, his residence, near 17th Avenue and Mountain View Road, police said.

Police said Hernandez was taken into custody without further incident.
