Ford is setting the stage for high-performance models of their Mach-E. Specifically the GT and the GT Performance versions. The GT went from $60,500 to $59,900 while the GT Performance is set at $64,900. The Ford model is taking orders on Wednesday, April 28th. The customers to be are able to order online or perhaps through a Ford EV-certified dealer. The GT Performance is supposedly stronger when it comes to torque. The GT also has access to about 600 lb-ft of torque. The GT Performance, however, has about 634 lb-ft. This is a reduction from zero to sixty times of what it used to be. 3.8 to 3.5 seconds. There is also an evidently lower EPA range of 250 to 235 miles.

Furthermore, Ford themselves have made a direct connection between this and their gas-powered Mustang in the latest press release. Each version of the Mach-E GT has about 480 horsepower. Yet, the Mach 1 is great for about 420 lb-ft of torque. This allows for an electric SUV with an accelerated advantage.

The GT and GT Performance makes the vehicles that Ford puts out overcome the former gas models and their own problematic ends. Ford has been able to give to get the Mach-E GT and the GT Performance models such a drive mode otherwise known “Unbridled Extend.” This is meant for use on tracks and closed courses. Unbridled Extend is supposed to “balance power output for lap time consistency.” This will also re-tune traction and stability control systems for track use. This also automatically increases artificial engine noises that will be made as the Mach-E sounds it through the Ford speakers.

The Mach-E GT Performance is able to come with more equipment changes, such as new tires for enhancing grip and MagneRide suspension. There are also various exterior upgrades that will distinguish from others in the model line. Such as the 20-inch wheels with red-paint brake calipers below. There will also be a lit pony badge and also a Cyber Orange color option for the paint job.
