Aston Martin, the famous British car company, seems to be changing its plans again. They’re making their V-8 Vantage car even stronger and faster for the year 2025. But, they’re taking away the V-12 engine option, which might make some people sad. However, Aston Martin might have a surprise for us with a new V-12 engine in the future. It’s like they’re shuffling their plans around once more.
Now, Aston Martin is talking about electric cars. They had plans to release four electric cars soon, but they’re delaying that. Instead, they’re going to focus more on making plug-in hybrid electric cars, or PHEVs. They say they have lots of customers who want these kinds of cars. So, they’re changing their plans to meet what people want.
Lawrence Stroll, who is in charge at Aston Martin, said they were going to release an electric car in 2025, but now it’s going to be in 2027. He mentioned that they have a car ready for the original release date, but they’re changing things because people aren’t asking for electric cars as much as they thought. Stroll said their customers still like the smell and sound of regular gas-powered cars. He thinks there’s more talk about electric cars than actual demand for them, especially at the price Aston Martin wants to sell them for.
Instead of electric cars, Stroll wants to focus on making more PHEVs. He believes this is a good plan for the next few years. He even mentioned they might make a hybrid version of the V-12 engine.
These new hybrid cars will be based on the current Aston Martin designs. They might start with the DBX SUV, which is their most popular model. We might see these changes in the DBX soon because it’s due for an update this year. They’re also planning to release a new DBS model this year.
So, Aston Martin is making some big changes to their plans. They’re delaying electric cars and focusing more on hybrids. It seems like they want to make sure they’re giving their customers what they really want.
